Refund policy
Returns and Refunds Policy
At Shophomira, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. In addition to your statutory rights, we therefore offer a voluntary 30-day return period.
This Returns and Refunds Policy is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law, including the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Statutory 14-day right to cancel
If you purchase goods from us online as a consumer, you generally have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving a reason, subject to certain legal exceptions.
For most goods, the cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods.
If an order contains multiple goods delivered separately, the cancellation period generally runs from the day after you receive the final item.
To exercise your statutory right to cancel, you must clearly inform us of your decision before the cancellation period expires.
You can contact us at: support@shophomira.com.
Please include your order number and details of the item(s) you wish to return so that we can process your request efficiently.
After informing us that you wish to exercise your statutory right to cancel, you must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day on which you informed us of your cancellation, unless we have agreed to collect the goods.
2. Condition of returned goods
You may inspect and handle goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in a similar way to how you might inspect them in a physical shop.
If goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary for this purpose and their value has been reduced as a result, we may make a deduction from the refund to reflect the reduction in value, where permitted by law.
We therefore recommend returning goods in the best possible condition and, where available, with:
- The original packaging
- Original tags and labels
- All included accessories
- Any manuals or other items originally supplied with the product
The absence of original packaging does not automatically remove your statutory cancellation rights. Any deduction for diminished value will be assessed according to the circumstances and applicable law.
3. How to start a return
To request a return, please contact our customer service team at: support@shophomira.com.
Please provide:
- Your order number
- Your full name
- The item or items you wish to return
- Whether the return relates to cancellation, a faulty or damaged item, or another issue
Once we have reviewed your request, we will provide you with the relevant return instructions and the correct return address.
Please do not send goods to any address associated with Shophomira unless our customer service team has confirmed that address for your specific return.
4. Return address and international returns
Important: Our return and logistics facilities may be located outside the United Kingdom, including in Asia.
The correct return address depends on your order and will be provided by our customer service team once your return request has been registered.
Please do not automatically return your order to the sender address shown on the original parcel, as this may not be the correct or authorised return address.
5. Return shipping for change-of-mind cancellations
Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel because you have changed your mind, you will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where you were informed of this obligation before purchasing, unless we have expressly agreed to cover those costs.
Because the applicable return address may be located outside the United Kingdom, international return shipping costs may be higher than domestic return shipping costs.
Return shipping costs may depend on factors including:
- The size and weight of the parcel
- The carrier you choose
- The return destination
- The shipping service selected
You are responsible for selecting a suitable shipping method and, where applicable, completing the required shipping and customs documentation.
We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service and keeping your postage receipt and tracking number until your return has been completed.
If goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract, different rules may apply and you will not be required to bear reasonable return costs where UK consumer law requires us to cover them.
6. Customs documentation for international returns
If your return is sent internationally, you may be required to complete shipping or customs documentation.
For change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for completing any required documentation accurately and for any direct return shipping charges payable to your chosen carrier, where those costs are properly chargeable to you under applicable law.
Shophomira cannot accept responsibility for delays or failed delivery of a return caused by incorrect information, incomplete customs documentation or the return carrier selected by you, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
7. Deductions from refunds
We do not charge a fixed restocking or administration fee when you exercise your statutory 14-day right to cancel.
However, where you have handled goods beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may make a deduction reflecting any resulting reduction in value, where permitted by applicable law.
8. Voluntary 30-day return policy
In addition to your statutory cancellation rights, Shophomira offers a voluntary return period of up to 30 days after you receive your order.
If you request a return after the statutory 14-day cancellation period has expired but within our voluntary 30-day return period, the return will be handled under the conditions of this voluntary return policy.
To qualify for our voluntary extended return policy, the item must generally be:
- Unused, except for reasonable inspection or trying on
- Clean and undamaged
- Complete and in a resaleable condition
- Returned with original tags and labels where these were supplied
- Returned with all accessories and components originally supplied
Our voluntary 30-day return policy does not limit or replace any statutory rights you may have in relation to faulty, damaged, misdescribed or non-conforming goods.
9. Items excluded from change-of-mind returns
Certain goods may be excluded from the statutory right to cancel or from our voluntary return policy where permitted by law. These may include:
- Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised
- Goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly
- Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons if they have been unsealed after delivery
- Sealed audio, video or computer software products once unsealed, where applicable
- Goods which, after delivery, become inseparably mixed with other items
These exclusions do not affect your rights where an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fails to meet the requirements of applicable UK consumer law.
10. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
Please inspect your order after delivery and contact us as soon as reasonably possible if an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Where goods do not meet these requirements, you may have statutory rights to reject the goods, request a repair or replacement, or receive a price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances and how much time has passed since delivery.
For qualifying faulty or non-conforming goods, the statutory short-term right to reject will generally be available for 30 days, subject to the applicable legal conditions and exceptions.
Where you validly reject faulty or non-conforming goods under your statutory rights, Shophomira will bear the reasonable costs of returning those goods where required by law.
To report a problem, please contact support@shophomira.com and include your order number and a description of the issue. Photographs may help us investigate damage or defects more quickly but will not affect your statutory rights.
11. Refunds
Where you validly cancel an order under your statutory cancellation rights, we will refund payments received from you in accordance with applicable law.
This includes the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. If you selected a more expensive delivery method, such as express delivery, we are not required to refund the additional delivery cost above the price of our standard delivery option.
For returned goods, we may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you provide evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.
Eligible refunds will be processed no later than 14 days after the relevant refund obligation arises under applicable law.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree otherwise. We will not charge a fee for issuing a statutory refund.
12. Exchanges
If you would like a different item, size or variation, please contact us at support@shophomira.com.
Depending on availability and the circumstances, we may ask you to return the original item and place a new order rather than processing a direct exchange. This does not affect your statutory rights.
